Farris Technology, the premier Low Altitude Logistics™ company, has been working on solving key delivery challenges since 2013 and holds an early patent cited over 100 times to include the patent applications of the largest companies in the world.
Key problems solved by Farris Technology include:
- Delivery drones need a safe landing spot – addressing factors of personal safety, pet safety, package security and landing site variables.
- Recipients need a way to tell the drone where they want their package delivered.
- The commercial drone industry needs technology beyond what is on the drone to safely land, safely deliver and safely take off.
Our goal is to make life easier for companies who care deeply about their customers and seek the efficiency of autonomy while addressing safety. For everyone who demands the deliveries are safe, secure and accurate –drone sensors alone are not adequate to determine if the landing site is safe in advance of the drone’s arrival.
Our guidance technology provides on-the-ground homing beacon communication to allow drones to swiftly land and takeoff thereby minimizing threats of vandalism and theft, reducing noise and low-flight camera scanning, while mitigating the risks related to dropping packages by tether or parachute.
We are building a ground-based and cloud-based infrastructure to include a sensor array with unique capabilities and advanced machine learning to collect and transmit actionable real-time information at the landing site. Our technology augments a drone’s sense-and-avoid system from the ground up to dramatically reduce the potential for personal injury and property damage for the last 300 feet of delivery. Two-way communications are an integral part of both shipper and recipients toolset to manage both a delivery or a return.
By utilizing high-speed repetitive data collection and ground-based communications at the landing site our focus is upon high accuracy of the landing and fail-safe protection from the dangers of the most difficult part of delivery, landing and takeoff.
We started before most looking at drone delivery from the ground up — from the recipients perspective. Our solution integrates sensors, security and robotics. This system provides capabilities expected by the FAA and a discerning public while enabling features demanded by both shippers and receivers.
Farris Technology continues to grow our invention portfolio and is offering opportunities for patent licensing, technology research and development, as well as strategic partnerships. Join us.
